Harvesting vs. Frost

By Eric Hill • Oct 22nd, 2009 • Category: Editorial Notes, Feature Post

We just had our first modest snowfall in Fredericton.  Nothing to write home about… or text home about, depending on your level of technology… but a signpost nonetheless.  And since we’re not ones to ignore augury here at Branta it seemed a good time to inaugurate (oops…) the changing seasons with selections from our first volley of unsolicited contributions.

The internet being the sloppy, lumbering beast that it is took some time to conflate enough collisions and make sense out of where the “right” link-y places for the “right” people (eager submitters and readers) to find us was hiding.  The beast is still bumping into hyperlinks and parked cars in the dark so we can hopefully expect a slow incline in interest and attention through the cruel winter months.

So for now, as the first flakes melt and run off, please enjoy these three initial offerings:

September by K. Bannerman

Autobiography of a Reader by Kirsty Logan

The Hole Story by Nayna Chakrabarty
