Timber Timbre Giving Album Away For Free As Halloween Treat
By Eric Hill • Oct 27th, 2009 • Category: Editor's Picks, From the Interweb, Recommended Artistic ConsumptionFans of Timber Timbre (a.k.a. Taylor Kirk) looking for a Halloween treat this week are in luck. From now until midnight on Oct. 31, you can download Timber Timbre’s entire self-titled album for FREE.
Nominated for the Polaris Music Prize long list earlier this year, Timber Timbre has been receiving unbelievable press for this album. The self-titled release has come a long way: originally released with help from the Ontario Arts Council, Timber Timbre was later picked up by Arts & Crafts for wider distribution.
Considering Timber Timbre’s sound is often eerie and macabre, it would do nicely to play in the background while you’re handing out candy to bratty kids in Wal-Mart-bought Optimus Prime costumes. Fans can also listen to the album performed live in studio tomorrow at 11 a.m. pacific time on KCRW in Los Angeles.
Upcoming tour dates:
Oct. 28 Los Angeles, CA @ KCRW (11 a.m. PST)
Oct. 28 Los Angeles, CA @ Origami Vinyl
Oct. 29 Los Angeles, CA @ Bootleg Theatre w/ The Antlers
Nov. 7 Toronto, ON @ North York Library
Nov. 17 Albany, NY @ Valentines

Nov. 20 New York, NY @ Joe’s Pub
